This block was formerly a cluster of residences assigned to members of the US Military Assistance Advisory Group (MAAG) stationed in Hsinchu. After the American withdrawal from Taiwan the residences of the compound were rented or sold to Taiwanese but the entire compouned was eventually redeveloped into high-rises and no trace remains.
