A military dependents’ village established in 1951 for 158 households of the ROCAF 2nd Service Group (空軍第二勤務大隊) behind the prefecture hall in Hsinchu, then the seat of the county government. It was officially known as the Air Force No. 10 Village (空軍十村). Residents first built homes of bamboo and mud, only around 13 square meters each, on land said to have held a Japanese field hospital; the air force paid for rebuilding in brick in 1975. The remaining structures were demolished around 2015 and converted into a parking lot and park.
