Built in the 1930s by Chen Changqin (陳長欽), this sanheyuan in Hemei, Changhua is the ancestral home of a Chen family that traces its origins to Anxi, Fujian and settled in Yuemei (月眉) around the early 19th century. Building materials, including stone and Fujian fir, were shipped in through the port of Wuqi. The courtyard wall is built from red brick and features distinctive lattice windows in the shape of the shou (壽) character. It was designated a historic building in 2018.
