First proposed in 1983 and opened in 1994, the third public art museum in Taiwan occupies a five-storey building in Neiweipi Cultural Park (內惟埤文化園區) in Gushan, Kaohsiung, with 41 hectares of outdoor grounds that include a sculpture park. The park was named Jingguo Cultural Park (經國文化園區) after the death of Chiang Ching-kuo (蔣經國) in 1988, then took the old place name of Neiweipi in 1991. A former visitor center on the grounds reopened in 2005 as a children’s art museum, the first of its kind among public museums in Taiwan.

I am a web application developer, photojournalist, urban explorer, and history enthusiast passionate about the open web and documenting my experiences on this planet. This project was founded in the early 2010s and has evolved into a sort of personal Wikipedia of places that interest me (and often the photographs I’ve taken there). I’m originally from Toronto, Canada, but spend most of my time residing in Taiwan.
