Dongshi Vocational School (國立東勢高工舊校區) - Spectral Codex
國立東勢高工舊校區

An entire school campus condemned and abandoned after the 921 Earthquake. It was previously one of the more famous urban exploration sites in central Taiwan but as of 2022 much of it has been restored and reopened to the public. The school auditorium inspired some of the scenes in Detention (返校), a popular Taiwanese horror video game released in 2019, but it has been completely renovated.

Several abandoned buildings can still be found around the campus, with varying levels of accessibility. The most interesting parts can be found on top of the hill on the north side of campus. It was also once home to the Dongshi Shinto Shrine.

Officially known as the former Campus of the Dongshi Vocational School (國立東勢高工舊校區). Access from the main gate.
