A small Shinto shrine established in the Amis Indigenous village of Alapawan as Sharapawan-shi as early as August 1936. The settlement and the shrine were renamed in 1937; this became known as Kōgen-shi (高原祠) in Japanese. Not much remains now apart from the stone pedestal. Locating it may be difficult, as there is no marked trail and the area beyond the water treatment facility is very overgrown. Most hikers report not being able to find the site.
Warning: this location is abandoned, hazardous, or otherwise neglected and may be unsafe and even dangerous! Exercise appropriate precautions when visiting.
警告:此處已廢棄或長期無人管理,可能存在潛在危險。造訪時請務必提高警覺,並做好相關安全防護措施。
