A former elementary school in rural Donghe Township, Taitung. Originally established in 1957 as a branch classroom of Taiyuan Elementary School (泰源國校), it progressed through several stages before becoming independent as Nankeng Elementary School (南坑國民學校) in 1961. Renamed Shangde Elementary School (尚德國民小學) in 1971, it was downgraded to a branch of Taiyuan Elementary School in 1999. After closing in 2003 the site has remained idle and might be of interest to the urban exploration community.
