The only known mud volcano in Taitung County, situated in the Coastal Mountain Range where the Baliwan Formation (八里灣層) and Liji Mélange (利吉混同層) meet. Water from nearby Mukeng Creek rises through fracture zones along the Duluanshan and Mukeng Creek faults, producing a broad field of low shield-shaped mud vents (噴泥盾) with main vents aligned north to south. Also known as Paopao Mud Volcano (泡泡泥火山), Baohuashan Mud Volcano (寶華山泥火山), and Dianguang Mud Volcano (電光泥火山). It is very remote and difficult to access.
