A military dependents’ village dating back to the period of USAID in the 1960s. It was built for officers and their families to specifications that were somewhat more generous than many such communities at the time. Although it was mostly abandoned for decades and demolished in the late 2000s and early 2010s some parts have been preserved and recognized for their heritage value.
