A municipal waste-to-energy plant in Beitou, on the northern margins of Taipei, built between 1990 and 1999 and processing some 1,800 tons of trash per day. What sets it apart from other incinerators in Taiwan is the candy-striped 150 meter-tall exhaust stack which features a public observation deck and a revolving restaurant.
