A double-bay Shōwa era shophouse built by Yang Wanshang (楊萬上), a local businessman who operated Shenghe Rice Shop (勝和米糧行) out of the ground floor at the tail end of the Japanese colonial period. In the post-war era Yang was appointed mayor of Beidou Township and, after elections were held, he served an additional three terms.
