A small shrine near Qikuaicuo (七塊厝) in Xuejia venerating twelve Japanese airmen collectively as Jiangjunye (將軍爺); it is also known as the Twelve Generals Temple (十二將軍廟). Their aircraft, flying from Taichung to the Tainan airbase, was hit by American fighters over Yanshui late in World War 2 and crashed into a fishpond on the northern edge of the district, killing all aboard. After the dead were said to trouble the area, villagers built the idol-less shrine in 1969 at the direction of neighboring temples; it remains a wandering-soul shrine (有應公廟) in form.
