Ruins of a Japanese colonial era police garrison on the Zhuilu Historic Trail in Taroko Gorge, situated at Zhuilu Cliff (錐麓斷崖). Originally established in 1915 as the Higashi Fumoto Detachment (東麓分遣所), it was renamed the Cliff Detachment (斷崖分遣所) in 1920 and reorganized as a police garrison in 1922 before being decommissioned in 1934. Only a flat concrete foundation remains; the site marks the turnaround point for hikers on the portion of the train accessible to hikers prior to the 2024 Hualien Earthquake. Nowadays the site is likely inaccessible.
