Originally built on the site of a mass grave in 1757, this temple enshrines the Bodhisattva Kṣitigarbha and a number of unusual local deities related to the immigrant history of Xinzhuang. It is also the refuge for several relics from Xinzhuang Shinto Shrine including several a pair of komainu next to the archway near the entrance, two mikoshi (神輿), and several stone lanterns. Additionally the second floor of the temple’s south hall additionally houses mikoshi from Taichung Shinto Shrine (台中神社) and Nanjing Shinto Shrine (南靖神社).
