A small cluster of Japanese colonial era residences near Taichung Port completed in 1944. Material shortages toward the end of the war restricted development of the port but it was completed in the post-war period and these residences were assigned to the port’s management staff. Designated as heritage structures in 2016 and subsequently restored.
