Baogong Theater (寶宮戲院) was a Golden age cinema near the train station in Shalu. It had several names throughout its history: Xinsheng Theater (新生戲院), Xinxing Theater (新星戲院), and finally Baogong. In its later years it seems to have also operated as a cabaret venue (沙鹿寶宮歌劇院). It finally closed in 1994 and was later demolished and turned into a parking lot.
