A single Japanese colonial era dormitory for the faculty of Tongxiao Elementary School (通霄國小), whose predecessor was established in 1898. Built in a hybrid Japanese-Western style and well preserved inside and out, it is a comparatively rare freestanding staff dormitory in the area. It stands close to the Tongxiao Shrine and was registered as a historic building in 2021.
