Not much is known about this former Shinto shrine on the outskirts of Taitung City except that it was established in the vicinity of the Amis Indigenous village of Karoroan in February 1930. According to most sources it was located on Houzishan (猴子山), which is still an active military base, so nobody has been able to check whether it still exists in any form. Known as Karoran-shi in Japanese.
