Established as early as 1937, and then known as Nanfang Changshe Hall (南方常設館), it could accommodate 450 audience members. This was one of 19 theaters nationalized by the KMT after the war. It was demolished in 1973 and replaced by Rixin Hotel (日新大飯店), which still exists today, albeit under different ownership.
