Originally established in 1919 as Beigang Public School Niaosong Branch (北港公學校蔦松分校) in what is now Shuilin, Yunlin. It was repurposed for use as a theater after a larger purpose-built school was constructed on what is now the campus for Niaosong Public Elementary School (蔦松國民小學). While the precise location of this structure is not known with certainty it was probably in the vicinity of the elementary school.
