A monument erected on April 1, 1933 by the Puzi Meat Vendors Association (朴子獸肉販賣業一同), with calligraphy by Dongshi County Governor Saito Suteo (東石郡守齋藤捨雄). The original Japanese colonial era slaughterhouse was demolished in 1984 and the site converted to Puzi Senior Citizens Activity Center (朴子市老人文康活動中心). The monument was knocked down during construction but later restored by the city government in 1997.
