Originally known as Sanchong Theater (三重戲院), this was one of the earliest theaters in Sanchong, built around 1947 by timber merchant Li Ruiruan (李瑞軟). Located at the foot of Taipei Bridge on Fude North Road, it was conveniently situated but struggled due to limited seating and poor management. It initially hosted Taiwanese opera performances before switching to films. Later renamed Jianguo Theater, it struggled against competition from newer venues like Jinguo Theater and Tiantai Theater, eventually showing adult films before closing.
