The fifth theater to open in Sanchong, built in 1955 by Chen Wenmin (陳文敏), who would become Taiwan’s first female Taiwanese-language film director. The theater later changed hands and names several times, becoming Hongming Theater (宏明戲院) under Li Dingfang, then Sanchong Theater (三重戲院) under Huang Zhenglong in 1973, before eventually closing amid the industry-wide decline. The site is now occupied by a commercial building.
