The Amis Indigenous settlement of Kiwit (奇美) has shifted locations over the years, and the former site has mostly returned to pastureland. Somewhere in this expanse is the site of the Shinto shrine constructed in the village as early as 1933. Nothing remains of it now. Known as Kibi-shi in Japanese. May also be referred to as Qimei Shrine (奇美祠) in Mandarin Chinese sources.
