A seaside monument built in 1951 by county magistrate Huzi Ping (胡子萍). The inscription roughly translates to “man can conquer nature”, commemorating many of the infrastructure projects implemented in those days. In 2015 it was destroyed by Typhoon Soudelor (蘇迪勒颱風).
