Qishan Xiantang Theater (旗山仙堂戲院) - Spectral Codex

Early post-war theater established by Su Taifa (蘇添發) and initially named Xinleyuan (新樂園). This theater moved to the current location and a more permanent structure was built. Due to mismanagement it went bankrupt in 1962, right as the golden age of cinema began. The business was bought the following year by Chen Qiqing (陳啟清) and renamed Xiantang Theater. It eventually went out of business, likely in the 1980s, and much of the structure was dismantled for a road widening project, leaving only the façade. Eventually this was also demolished as part of a dengue fever protection program, erasing any trace of this former theater.
