A small roadside temple in the Longdu area of Meinong dedicated to Zhufuren (竹扶人), a legendary figure who emerged during the Huang Jiao rebellion (黃教之亂) of the late 1760s. Raiders are said to have attacked Longdu while its militia was away with the Liudui (六堆) forces, whereupon a woman remembered as Laohu Ma (老虎媽) rallied the remaining villagers by tying her skirt to a bamboo pole as a battle standard. A large bamboo then toppled in the midst of the fighting and served the defenders as a cannon mount. Villagers raised an altar where the bamboo fell, originally known as Zhufuren Altar (竹扶人壇) and renamed in the post-war period, and commemorate the victory on the 14th day of the first lunar month.
