Originally established around 1935 as Penghu Theater (澎湖劇場). This was a large performance space with a capacity of 800. After the war it was renamed but business was tough, particularly as weather conditions made transporting new films to the island difficult. It eventually closed by the early 1980s and was demolished in 1985. The hulking ruin now on this site is that of an entertainment complex that once housed a bowling alley.
