A former stop on the Xuejia Line (學甲線), a Taiwan Sugar Corporation commercial railway that once served the dairy-producing interior of Liuying. Much of the route was later revived as the tourist-oriented Bawong Line (八翁線) in 2003, but trains on the revived line pass this old station without stopping. The small brick and concrete station house remains standing among the pastures.
