Keelung Yingzheng Coal Mine (基隆英正煤礦) - Spectral Codex

An old coal mine operated in the hills of northwestern Keelung by Wang Huomu (王火木) from 1949 to 1969. The mine worked the lower Mushan Formation (木山層) coal seam, producing coking coal over 19 years. A former mine portal, opened in 1953 with an inscription reading Yingzheng Pit (英正坑), remains fairly well-preserved into the mid-2020s behind the red brick wall of an abandoned residence. Flooded with water and filled with bats, so it is not wise to enter. Find it at the end of Fuxing Road Lane 331 (復興路331).
