Established as Xinsheng Theater (新生戲院) in the post-war era. This theater operated into the mid-1970s at least. Sometime thereafter the entire block was levelled to build the Huilong Building (惠隆大樓), in which the newly renamed Guanhua Theater (觀華戲院) continued to operate for a time. Later it was renovated into a bowling alley on the third floor of this building.
