Originally established as Yoshino Station (吉野驛) in 1914 to serve the nearby Japanese immigrant village. It was renamed Ji’an Station (吉安車站) in 1948. A wooden station house built in 1928 remained in use until it was decommissioned in 1980 when the station was relocated to its current site to serve as a transfer point between the North-Link Line and the narrow-gauge Taidong Line during the Eastern Line expansion project. The original station building remained standing until its demolition in 1985. Although the station has been gone for decades, several auxiliary buildings remain in the area.
