The only purpose-built cinema in Penghu still standing. It opened to great acclaim in 1969, offering entertainment options for rural residents and members of the military stationed in the many bases at the periphery of the archipelago. Unfortunately business was dismal and the theater was only operational for around 6 months before it was closed, abandoned, and mostly forgotten.
