One of many old hotels seriously damaged in the 2024 Hualien Earthquake. It was originally established to provide lodging for military personnel and their families. Due to changing times it was eventually opened to the public. In the 2024 Hualien earthquake it was several damaged and, after assessing the cost of repairs as being too high, the property owner elected to demolish it in 2025.
