Established in 1896, this was a customs office with adjoining warehouse space in support of one of eight special entry and exit ports capable of international trade during the early Japanese colonial era. Due to silting of the river after a series of storms it was not very busy for long, and it finally shut down in the 1930s. Later it was repurposed for use as a residence but is in surprisingly decent condition, all things considered.
