A military airfield was constructed late in the war. It wasn’t even fully complete in 1945 when it entered into service as a kamikaze base. In the post-war era it was found to be overgrown with weeds and pretty much useless so the ROCAF declined to redevelop it for regular use, and it was dismantled and returned to agricultural use by the mid-1960s. Some traces remain in the form of air raid shelters, an old reservoir, and other infrastructure.
