A neo-Baroque mansion in downtown Houlong. It was the residence of Chen Kaiti, former mayor of Miaoli. In 2019 it was due for inspection by culture workers as it was identified as a potential heritage site. In response, the owner quickly had the building demolished, leading to public outcry, but the damage was already done. The site was soon cleared and redeveloped.
