Former Japanese colonial era theater constructed in 1943, primarily for the many Japanese soldiers stationed here. It was originally named Kyōraku-kan (共樂館), but became Gangshan Theater (岡山戲院) after the war, and more informally the Small Theater (小戲院). Although the interior was extensively renovated at some point the original façade still bears the glyph for “theater”.
