Built in 1937 on the campus of what is now Erlin Elementary School (二林國小), it was damaged by typhoons and other disasters over the years, but generally retained its original appearance. In 2005 it was recognized for its heritage value and lightly restored. Since it is on school grounds you may need to visit outside of regular hours.
