Founded in 1817 by settlers from Tong’an in Quanzhou, this temple in central Changhua City venerates their patron Baosheng Dadi (保生大帝), a medicine god, and doubled as the Tong’an guildhall during the Qing dynasty. It was heavily damaged by Allied bombing in World War 2 and occupied by squatters after the war until the city took over its management. The current appearance dates to a restoration completed in 2002.
