A Qing dynasty grave in the hills of Baguashan east of central Changhua City. Legend holds that seven members of a puppet troupe from Lukang were buried here in 1823, having fled in terror and died of exhaustion after discovering they had spent the night performing for an audience of ghosts. In 1986 it became extraordinarily popular as a place to pray for winning numbers in Dajiale (大家樂), a numbers game then sweeping Taiwan, and by one local estimate drew tens of thousands of visitors a day around each draw.
