Constructed around 1925, this red brick building was originally the student dormitory of what is now National Changhua Girls’ Senior High School in Changhua City. The school was founded in 1919, during the Japanese colonial era, and was the main secondary school for Taiwanese girls in central Taiwan. In the post-war period teachers were also housed here. By 1980 newer buildings had made the old dormitory obsolete and it was converted for use as classrooms and office space.
