Dakeng Roundabout Fude Temple (大坑圓環福德祠) - Spectral Codex
Dakeng Roundabout Fude Temple (大坑圓環福德祠)

An earth god shrine (福德祠) sitting inside the Dakeng Roundabout (大坑圓環), a traffic circle originally built in 1958 to protect a centuries-old Formosan sweet gum tree (楓香). The shrine reportedly began as three stones stacked beside the tree to represent Tudigong (土地公) and his wife, later rebuilt into a proper temple. When the original tree died it was removed in 2014 and replaced with a century-old bishop wood tree (茄苳) donated by a local landowner. It is featured in the book Parasitic Temples.
