Originally established as Pashikau-sha (北絲鬮社) in February 1930, it was renamed to match the village itself around 1937. The location is not precisely known but seems almost certain to be in the general vicinity of Zantianfu Temple (讚天宮). Some broken stone lantern fragments can be found along the roadside. For reference, the Puyuma Indigenous name for the village is Mulivelivek.
