Built in the 1940s just off Yaowarat Road in Chinatown, it was originally a venue for traditional opera and performance. In the 1990s it was converted into a parking garage. A marquee signboard was still visible on the street out front until the early 2020s. At some point it might have adopted the name Cathay (คาเธ่ย์). Also romanized as Ching Hua Theater.
