A ritual paper incinerator at Xingling Temple (醒靈宮), built between 1952 and 1955 by six devotees to honour Confucius’s teaching of cherishing the written word (惜字崇文). The temple serves Hakka descendants across the Yuancheng Seven Districts (源成七界) spanning Erlin, Zhutang, and Pitou, tracing its origins to Yuxu Temple (玉虛宮) in Miaoli’s Shitan Township, brought by settlers in 1909. Registered as a historic building in 2010.
