Taipei Freedom House (自由之家) - Spectral Codex

A two-storey Japanese colonial era residence built in 1902 as the official quarters of the Bank of Taiwan governor and converted into a Bank of Taiwan staff club in 1911. After the war the property was handed over to the Combined Logistics Command and rebranded as Freedom House, a Cold War era reception venue used by the World Anti-Communist League and the Free China (自由中國) political journal, and a frequent setting for the entertainment of foreign visitors. It stands within the restricted Bo’ai Special Zone alongside the Yen Chia-kan Residence and Datong House and is not open to the public.
