Tataka Couple Trees (塔塔加夫妻神木) - Spectral Codex
塔塔加夫妻神木

Formerly a pair of Taiwanese cypress trees that became a well-known landmark on this highway. A forest fire in 1963 charred the trees but they remained standing. For decades their spectral appearance has provided some interesting scenery and, for some, a backdrop for ghost stories. One of the trees fell in recent years, leaving only one of the pair still in place.
