A pair of conjoined shrines below the Zengwen River (曾文溪) levee at Xipoliao (溪埔寮) in Xigang, Tainan. The Japanese General Hall (本將軍前大士殿) enshrines two navy pilots killed in 1944, Taniyama Toshiyuki (谷山利之) and Sugiura Shigemine (杉浦茂峰), the latter the same airman venerated as the Flying Tiger General in nearby Annan. It was originally established in 1969 after villagers found themselves haunted by the dead pilots. The adjoining shrine honours Shuiliu Xiangu (水流仙姑), the spirit of an unwed girl drowned by a ferryman in the Taishō era and enshrined here since 1936.
