Officially known as Cixuan Shengtiangong (慈玄聖天宮), this temple earned its nickname after hundreds of Thai migrant workers, rescued by the temple in 1994 after their contractor went bankrupt, volunteered to build its rear hall as an act of gratitude. Working without blueprints and guided by divine instruction, they hand-assembled an elaborate grotto of stone, coral, and seashells resembling an underwater dragon palace.
